Runway 7 Convenience Store

 

 Runway 7 has been open for 28 years, and is your last stop on business 20 (highway 80)  heading out from Midland to the Midland International Airport. Fill up with gas, grab a candy bar and a diet coke for the wife, drain the family, but whatever you do don't forget the burritos. This place has excellent food. Take the house burrito for instance, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Hash browns, Swiss and American Cheese and Creole Seasoning. Wow doesn't that sound awesome! You can find them at 7720 W. Highway 80, and they are open 5:30 am - 8 pm Monday - Friday (grill closes at 3 pm) and 6:30 am - 7 pm (grill closes at 2 pm) on Saturday. Closed on Sunday.

Addie’s Diner

Addie’s Diner can be found at 302 East Florida Avenue, the building is hard to miss. It is painted up like an old fifties eatery. The food is great, the service is superb. Take a drive and visit today.

Back in the Day Cafe 

 What a name, "The Back in the Day Café" I am excited! They just opened earlier this year in the old Michael's Illinois location at the Corner of Midland and Illinois. It is located right across the street from the Good Will Store. Midland needs more local flavor, so we are always excited when places like this open. They are open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm and they are closed on Sunday Update: This place is awesome. Worth every penny. It reminds me of a Babes Fried Chicken. You will be so stuffed. One of the best chicken fried steaks in Midland! They also serve their salads with Wall Street Bar and Grill's Dressing on them! Wow Second Update: They are not family style anymore,  but the portions are still huge and delicious. Go visit, please see picture below if you need more encouragement.

Wall Street Bar and Grill Menu

 

Wall Street Bar & Grill is located at 115 East Wall Street in Midland, Texas. It sits right across the street from the downtown Post Office. This is Midland as Midland gets. Personally, this is my favorite place to eat. It is an upscale restaurant so expect to spend $20 to $30 dollars per person, that would probably include appetizer, drink, entree and dessert. In the oil busts of Midland’s past, many residents and restaurants packed up and moved out. However Wall Street has remained a constant through many years of the ever changing landscape of Midland, Texas. Go eat at Wall Street, trust me you won’t be disappointed. Try the Sunday morning brunch.

Murray's Restaurant & Deli is a Midland staple featuring burgers, sandwiches and salads. Order on the menu at lunch and expect table service in the evenings. Located in the Imperial Shopping Center at 3211 West Wadley next to Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Bean & Grape. it is convenient for just about any Midlander. They also offer catering service.  They feature a super burger on their menu, Jalapeno bun, Bacon, Avocado, Swiss, and Cheddar. Ohh gosh it’s wonderful!

Strawberry Fields is perfect for the person who is still abiding by his or her New Year’s resolution. The food is tasty, good for you, quick and easy buffet style. Come in and check out their wide array of health items for sale, eat a little lunch and be on your way to a healthier you. Midland is full of Chicken fried steaks and BBQ, so healthy eating is hard to come by. My only complaint about a place like this is that I wish it were closer to downtown. We need a downtown healthy food option in this town.
