Burgers

Where are the Best Burgers in Midland, Texas? How about reading through our Midland, Texas Dining Guide. This is not a ranked Top Ten list so to speak, just a simple listing of our favorite burgers. Are you dreaming of Cheeseburgers in paradise as Jimmy Buffet would say? Inside the city limits, there are lots and lots of choices for burger perfection. Let us help you break it down!

The Classic Burger

Starting with the oldest and I would say the best, how about Bob’s Better Burger? A simple shack, with great burgers, fries, and shakes. The True Midlander will always recommend Bobs. There is no seating, so plan on eating in the car. I also suggest calling it in before you go. They tend to get pretty busy during peak hours. It’s in a funny spot, but it’s not hard to find (Check out the map below). You can see their menu here.

A Close Second

Some would rank Murray’s Restaurant & Deli above Bobs, I would say they are pretty close. Bob’s has a nice place to set down inside with beers on tap. They have recently remodeled and added quite a bit of patio seating in the back.  It’s true “Old Midland Flavor”. I suggest the Jalapeno Burger, the bun makes it, oh so good. Find their menu here.

Soulful Burgers

I recently read on Facebook that several people say Doris J’s Kitchen makes a really good burger. I’ve eaten other Soul food entrees in there before and it is really a top-notch place. They are in the old Chinese Kitchen location in Illinois and Midland by the Goodwill store. Stop by order up a DJ burger. Find her menu here.

Another classic burger.

Fuddruckers is the oldest restaurant left in the Midland Park Mall and one of the oldest in Town. It is not to be forgotten as a great “Classic” Midland burger. The chain along with Lubys has gone through restructuring in the past year, and I am so glad Fuddruckers made it through. Take a step back to a simpler time, and give Fuddruckers a try! You can see their menu here.

A darkhorse candidate

Are you looking for something different, maybe a walk on the Wildside? How about trying the Dead End Food Shack on Rankin Highway (i.e South Big Spring St.) They have almost 2,500 followers on Facebook. Many say this is their favorite burger in town. Dead End is connected to The Detour bar. Give them a try today. Check out their FB page here.

Tasty Grubs

Grub Burger opened up several years ago in the Cornerstone Shopping Center. They are next door to the delicious and scrumptious Crumbl Cookie. You’ll find unique burgers with a fine selection of beers to choose from. I have gotten good service every time I’ve eaten there. So If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere, and tasty burgers, give Grub Burger a try! Find their menu here. Ohh don’t forget about the Tasty “booz’n” milkshakes.

New Kid on the Block

Chuck and Patty’s opened this last year. They are in a Jack’s Convenience store on Big Spring Street, North of Loop 250. I’ve eaten here once, and I really enjoyed it. They serve a variety of beers, and the burger selection is top-notch. You can see their menu here.

Something blue something New

Blue Sky Texas opened up a few months ago, they have locations in Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, and now Midland! Mouthwatering burgers, delicious onion rings. You’ll find them in the same shopping center as Bed Bath and Beyond on Loop 250. View their menu on their website here.

Don’t forget this burger.

Bubba’s 33 is another of the Newer “burger” places in Midland. They are located on the Northside of Loop 250 in the Midland Park Mall parking lot. It has a fun air about it, and they serve up way more than burgers. You can get wings, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. find their menu here.
