Hopdoddy Burger Bar – Midland – Menu

Hopdoddy Burger Bar brings a fresh, modern spin to the classic burger joint. Nestled in the Cornerstone Shopping Center, its lively interior and open kitchen encourage guests to linger over gourmet twists on fast‑casual favorites. Start your meal with one of their shareables—crispy Parmesan‑truffle fries, Sweet Potato sticks, Green Chile Queso‑smothered hand‑cut fries or the addictive Hot Honey & Sage Sweets. If you’re looking for something a little lighter (but still flavorful), the Parmesan‑truffle or Hot Honey & Sage crispy Brussels make a perfect prelude to what’s next.

When it comes to burgers, Hopdoddy’s menu is both crowd‑pleasing and adventurous. The Classic—topped simply with Doddy Mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion—lets you taste the quality of their patties and brioche buns. From there, you can work your way up to more daring creations: the Magic Shroom (creamy goat cheese, mushrooms and basil pesto), the El Diablo (Pepper Jack, jalapeños & habaneros, salsa verde and chipotle aioli) or the Double Bacon Jam, stacked with two quarter‑pound patties, American cheeses and a house‑made tomato bacon jam. Non‑beef eaters will find plenty to love too, from the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich to the El Bandito veggie burger, which cleverly swaps in a black‑bean & corn patty with goat cheese and avocado.

Health‑minded diners can “bowl‑ify” any burger on a bed of house greens (or crispy Brussels for a small up‑charge). The Diablo Bowl mirrors its burger counterpart in a lighter, lettuce‑bowl format, while the Thunder Bowl layers grilled chicken, steakhouse bacon and avocado over apple‑cider vinaigrette greens. And of course, no Hopdoddy meal is complete without a milkshake—choose from indulgent flavors like Midnight Mocha or Nutella Pretzel, then “make it boozy” with spiked add‑ons such as Frangelico or Skrewball peanut butter whiskey.

To drink, Hopdoddy offers a carefully curated lineup of cocktails, margaritas, organic wines and local draft beers—plus half‑off happy‑hour deals on Monday through Thursday from 3–6 PM. Whether you’re in for a quick takeout lunch or a fun dine‑in experience, Hopdoddy’s commitment to quality ingredients, quirky flavor combinations and friendly service makes it a must‑visit spot for burger lovers in Midland.

Midland Burger Dining Guide

Burgers

Where are the Best Burgers in Midland, Texas? How about reading through our Midland, Texas Dining Guide. This is not a ranked Top Ten list so to speak, just a simple listing of our favorite burgers. Are you dreaming of Cheeseburgers in paradise as Jimmy Buffet would say? Inside the city limits, there are lots and lots of choices for burger perfection. Let us help you break it down!

The Classic Burger

Starting with the oldest and I would say the best, how about Bob’s Better Burger? A simple shack, with great burgers, fries, and shakes. The True Midlander will always recommend Bobs. There is no seating, so plan on eating in the car. I also suggest calling it in before you go. They tend to get pretty busy during peak hours. It’s in a funny spot, but it’s not hard to find (Check out the map below). You can see their menu here.

A Close Second

Some would rank Murray’s Restaurant & Deli above Bobs, I would say they are pretty close. Bob’s has a nice place to set down inside with beers on tap. They have recently remodeled and added quite a bit of patio seating in the back.  It’s true “Old Midland Flavor”. I suggest the Jalapeno Burger, the bun makes it, oh so good. Find their menu here.

Soulful Burgers

I recently read on Facebook that several people say Doris J’s Kitchen makes a really good burger. I’ve eaten other Soul food entrees in there before and it is really a top-notch place. They are in the old Chinese Kitchen location in Illinois and Midland by the Goodwill store. Stop by order up a DJ burger. Find her menu here.

Another classic burger.

Fuddruckers is the oldest restaurant left in the Midland Park Mall and one of the oldest in Town. It is not to be forgotten as a great “Classic” Midland burger. The chain along with Lubys has gone through restructuring in the past year, and I am so glad Fuddruckers made it through. Take a step back to a simpler time, and give Fuddruckers a try! You can see their menu here.

A darkhorse candidate

Are you looking for something different, maybe a walk on the Wildside? How about trying the Dead End Food Shack on Rankin Highway (i.e South Big Spring St.) They have almost 2,500 followers on Facebook. Many say this is their favorite burger in town. Dead End is connected to The Detour bar. Give them a try today. Check out their FB page here.

Tasty Grubs

Grub Burger opened up several years ago in the Cornerstone Shopping Center. They are next door to the delicious and scrumptious Crumbl Cookie. You’ll find unique burgers with a fine selection of beers to choose from. I have gotten good service every time I’ve eaten there. So If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere, and tasty burgers, give Grub Burger a try! Find their menu here. Ohh don’t forget about the Tasty “booz’n” milkshakes.

;

New Kid on the Block

Chuck and Patty’s opened this last year. They are in a Jack’s Convenience store on Big Spring Street, North of Loop 250. I’ve eaten here once, and I really enjoyed it. They serve a variety of beers, and the burger selection is top-notch. You can see their menu here.

Something blue something New

Blue Sky Texas opened up a few months ago, they have locations in Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, and now Midland! Mouthwatering burgers, delicious onion rings. You’ll find them in the same shopping center as Bed Bath and Beyond on Loop 250. View their menu on their website here.

Don’t forget this burger.

Bubba’s 33 is another of the Newer “burger” places in Midland. They are located on the Northside of Loop 250 in the Midland Park Mall parking lot. It has a fun air about it, and they serve up way more than burgers. You can get wings, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. find their menu here.

Fast burgers for fast times

Last but not least, Midland has its fair share of Wonderful Fast food burger places. They have 4 Whataburgers, 4 Sonic Drive-Ins, 3 Dairy Queens, 2 Mcdonald’s, 2 Burger Kings, 2 Wendy’s, 2 Texas Burgers, 2 Jack in the Box’s, 1 Five Guys, and 1 Carl Jr’s.

Runway 7 Convenience Store – Midland – Menu

Located off Highway 80, this convenience store doubles as a casual eatery, offering locals and travelers a surprising variety of freshly made meals alongside all the usual convenience store essentials. It’s the kind of place where you can fill your tank, grab a drink, and walk out with a hot burrito or burger made to order.

Bob’s Better Burger

Bob’s Better Burger feels like a step back in time—right down to the hand‑written daily specials taped by the register. Tucked on Thomason Drive next to Wilshire TV Service and Flor’s Kitchen, this unpretentious roadside stand has quietly become a Midland institution. Inside, the counter gleams under fluorescent lights, and the friendly staff know most orders by heart. It’s the kind of place where regulars pull up on a first‑name basis and newcomers feel instantly at ease, even when the lunch line snakes out the door.

The real draw, of course, is the food. Bob’s offers big, juicy patties in both “big” and “small” sizes, from classic hamburgers and cheeseburgers to indulgent double‑meat and double‑cheeseburger options. For heat seekers, the Jalapeños Burger (or its supersized counterpart) delivers a fiery kick, while the veggie burger proves that even non‑meat eaters don’t have to compromise. Beyond burgers, you’ll find an entire lineup of sandwiches—BLTs, ham & cheese combos, chicken‑fried steak sandwiches and more—plus hearty baskets of chicken strips, fish, or steak fingers all for around twelve bucks. And if you’re feeding a kiddo? The new mini burrito meal or a Spam sandwich at a nostalgic $6 keeps smiles wide without busting the budget.

Sides and extras transform a simple meal into a full spread: crispy fries, tots smothered in chili cheese, onion rings, or a basket of walking nachos piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, and gooey cheese. Feeling adventurous? Try the Hot Cheetos & Cheese plate or grab a cup of gravy to drizzle over fries. To round things out, Bob’s shakes—thick, creamy, and made to order—offer the perfect sweet finish to a throwback feast. With hours from 9 AM to 9 PM most days (closed Sundays) and a reputation for the lunch hour rush, it’s wise to call ahead. Trust the 210 Midlanders who’ve rated it a “true Midland treasure”—Bob’s Better Burger is where comfort food lives up to its name.
